Oxbridge Applications was founded in 1999, giving them over 20 years of experience in supporting students with their applications to Oxford and Cambridge universities, as well as other top UK universities.
I met with the dynamic Alicia Luba, one of the senior consultants you meet after reaching out to Oxbridge Applications for their help with university applications. I was struck by her passion and in-depth knowledge of the application process, and I immediately felt as if I could entrust her and her team with ensuring my son had the best possible chance of a successful Oxbridge application.
With comfortable rooms modelled after Oxbridge tutorial suites in their St James’s office, their team of consultants meet with families and students from the age of 14. Every member of their team read their undergraduate degree at Oxford or Cambridge and now specialise in understanding and explaining the minutiae of the Oxbridge application process to the next generation.
Oxbridge Applications was founded in 1999, and is the oldest, largest, and most successful consultancy providing support to candidates for top UK universities; although their particular focus is on the universities of Oxford and Cambridge, their students receive thousands of offers every year from G5 and other highly competitive universities.
The process typically begins with a senior member of the team meeting a student and their parents for an initial Private Consultation either in person at their offices (58 Buckingham Gate), or digitally where more convenient. Consultations are 60-90 minutes long and often begin with an informal Oxbridge-style interview to assess a student’s current position and potential.
Beyond this meeting, eligible students can opt to join The Premier Service, which is a full-time, all-inclusive programme where each student works with the member of the OA team who read their exact subject at Oxford or Cambridge.
Oxbridge Applications already provide in-house support to some of the UK’s top schools including Marlborough College, Wellington, Benenden, Rugby, and City of London Boys, as well as taking on bright private clients from the top performing schools across the country and internationally.
Oxbridge Applications (and sister consultancy A-List Education) are offering a complimentary discovery session to Almost Essential readers, in which a senior consultant will conduct a 15-20 minute call with you and your child to help decide which route might fit them best; simply reach out via consultancy@oxbridgeapplications.com or call their fantastic team directly on +44 (0) 20 7499 2394 and ask for Thomas Moon who will connect you with the right consultant.
