“Living in London for 35 years I took a leap of faith and moved to Ibiza.
Leaving my eponymous PATRICK COX shoe brand I was searching for connection and longing for a fresh start.
On Ibiza I embarked on a transformative journey of self discovery and healing through the use of psychedelic sacred medicines.
For me these entheogens (meaning “to reveal the god within”) have facilitated profound mystical experiences and enabled deep inner healing.
Now, emerging from my psychedelic cocoon, I feel spiritually reborn with a new sense of purpose: to lead a simpler life in harmony with nature.
I’d stopped designing but connecting to my true self has shown me that creative expression is at the heart of a fulfilling life for me.
And so DOORS OF PERCEPTION was born. Consciousness raising clothing embroidered with love in Ibiza.

When designing his Doors to Perception collection Patrick Cox makes every effort to source items that are sustainably produced. The items are then individually embroidered on Ibiza by a family run studio of local artisans. Door of Perceptions collections are limited and controlled using ethically sourced garments and accessories made from organic cotton and recycled polyester. They also upcycle dead stock garments and vintage army surplus uniforms.
